Tournament Factsheet





Registration Policy
All registrations are final. No refunds will be provided under any circumstances.
Exception: In the unlikely event that the tournament is cancelled by the organizer, a full refund will be issued to all registered participants.
Punctuality
Players must report to their assigned courts on time.
Failure to appear within 10 minutes of a match being called will result in a forfeit due to no-show.
Injury Time
A 10-minute injury timeout will be allowed. If a player cannot continue after that, it will be considered a forfeit.
Timeouts
One timeout per team, per match - only applicable for Quarterfinal, Semifinal, 3rd Place & Final matches
Scoring Format & Tournament Structure
🏆 Categories
Mixed Doubles Advanced (<4.5)
- 32 pairs
- 8 groups (4 pairs per group)
- Top 2 teams per group advance to Round of 16
Mixed Doubles Intermediate (<3.5)
- 32 pairs
- 8 groups (4 pairs per group)
- Top 2 teams per group advance to Round of 16
Mixed Doubles Novice (<3.01)
- 32 pairs
- 8 groups (4 pairs per group)
- Top 2 teams per group advance to Round of 16
Tournament Format
Group Stage
- Format: Rally scoring to 21 points
- Deuce Rule: At 20-20, sudden death (next point wins)
- Match Format: Single Set
- Outcome: Top 2 teams in each group progress to Knockout Rounds
Knockout Round
- Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, 3rd Placing
- Format: Rally scoring to 21 points
- Deuce Rule: 20-20 sudden death (next point wins)
- Match Format: Single Set
Finals
- Format: Traditional 002 scoring, first to 11 points
- Match Format: Best of 3 Sets (First team to win 2 sets wins the match)
- Break Time: 2-minute break between sets
Category Restriction
- Players are allowed to register for both Intermediate and Advanced categories.
- In the event of a clash in match schedules, the tournament organizer will attempt to accommodate as best as possible.
- However, if a direct clash occurs, the player must choose one match toforfeit (walkover).
DUPR Rating & Compliance
- Players must submit a valid DUPR ID during registration.
- Players with DUPR rating reliability below 10% will be considered "NR" (Not Reliable).
- Players must have a DUPR rating of 4.5 or below to enter the Advanced category.
- Players must have a DUPR rating of 3.5 or below to enter the Intermediate category.
- Players must have a DUPR rating of 3.01 or below to enter the Novice category.
- The Tournament Director reserves the right to accept or reject entries based on rating validity or sportsmanship.
- Multiple DUPR accounts are strictly prohibited. Any player found registering with multiple accounts will be disqualified and reported to DUPR.
- Any attempt to manipulate DUPR data or provide false information will result in immediate disqualification and formal reporting to DUPR.
Equipment Requirements
- All paddles must comply with USAPA / UPA-A standards.
- Tournament officials reserve the right to inspect equipment and may request a paddle change if non-compliant.
