📅 Tournament Dates: 28–30 November 2025 (Friday to Sunday)
Mark your calendars! The tournament spans three full days of action-packed matches, from group stage showdowns to knockout finals. It’s the perfect weekend to compete, connect, and celebrate the sport we love.

📍 The PPT 2025 will take place in the vibrant coastal city of Miri, known for its warm hospitality, scenic beauty, and growing sports culture. Hosted at the Paragon Pickleball Centre in Senadin, the venue boasts 8 fully indoor courts, offering a professional-grade playing environment with no weather interruptions — perfect for high-stakes rallies and intense kitchen battles.

Whether you're flying in or driving across Borneo, Miri is ready to welcome pickleballers from all corners of Malaysia!

🎾 Tournament Format & Divisions:

Whether you're a power hitter, a soft game specialist, or a senior slayer, there’s a division for you:

Open 50+ Mixed Doubles (Friday, 28/11/25, 8am to 1pm)
Intermediate 19+ Men Doubles (DUPR < 3.5) (Friday, 28/11/25, 2pm to 9pm)
Open 19+ Men’s Doubles (Saturday, 29/11/25, 8am to 3pm)
Open 19+ Women’s Doubles (Saturday, 29/11/25, 4pm to 10pm)
Open 19+ Mixed Doubles (Sunday, 30/11/25, 8am to 3pm)

🎯 Scoring Format

The Paragon Pickleball Tournament 2025 will adopt the official Malaysia Pickleball Association scoring format, combining rally scoring and traditional scoring depending on the tournament stage:

🧮 Group Stage (Round-Robin)

Best of 1 game to 21 points
No lock & No deuce (Sudden death)
Rally scoring: Points can be won on both serve and receive

🏆 Knockout Rounds (Round 16, Quarterfinals to Finals)

Round of 16 & Quarterfinals:

Traditional scoring to 11 points
Points awarded only when serving
Best of 1 game

Semifinals & 3rd Place play-offs:

Traditional (002) scoring to 15 points
Best of 1 game

Finals:

Traditional (002) scoring to 11 points
Best of 3 game

📝 Tiebreakers in Group Stage

If teams are tied in standings, the following criteria will be used in order:

Point Differential
Head-to-head result
Points Score

📌 Note: All matches will be officiated or monitored by court marshals to ensure fair play and adherence to tournament rules.

✅ Player Eligibility

The Paragon Pickleball Tournament 2025 is open to all Malaysian citizens and residents aged 19 and above. Participants must meet the eligibility requirements outlined for each division below:

🔹 Open Categories (19+ Men’s, Women’s & Mixed Doubles)

Open to all players aged 19 and above
No DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) restrictions
Suitable for competitive and experienced players

🔸 Intermediate 19+ Men’s Doubles

Open to players aged 19 and above
Individual DUPR rating must be below 3.5
Designed for developing and recreational players seeking balanced competition
Any intentional reduction or manipulation of DUPR rating for the purpose of registration will be considered invalid. Participants found engaging in such actions will have their registration rejected without exception.

🔸 Open 50+ Mixed Doubles

Open to players aged 50 and above (as of 31 December 2025)
No DUPR restrictions
Created to celebrate senior-level competition in a fun yet competitive environment

📌 Note: All participants must present valid identification and, where applicable, DUPR verification during registration or check-in.

💸 Entrance Fees

RM300 per pair – Open Categories
RM250 per pair – Intermediate & Open 50+ Categories

Note: The prize pool is based on full registration of 48 teams per category. In the event the total registered teams fall below this number, the prize pool will be adjusted proportionally.
