Note: Players cannot compete in overlapping categories:

Eligibility

1. Open to Malaysians and Malaysian resident permit holders.
2. Not a DUPR-sanctioned tournament; DUPR IDs not required.
3. Category criteria:
   • Parent-child relationship is mandatory.
   • Child Under 13: Any gender, must be 12 or younger on 15 June.
   • Daughters Under 19: Born female, under 19 on 15 June.
   • Sons Under 19: Born male, under 19 on 15 June.
   • Child Any Age: No age or gender restriction.
4. Violation of eligibility may lead to disqualification without refund.

Change of Partner and Dropout

• No refund for dropouts from 7 June onwards unless replaced.
• Team info will be loaded into Baseline.
• Change of partner deadline: 6 June, 6 PM.
• Changing team name without informing organiser = disqualification.

Tournament Format and Rules

• No Show: 10 mins late = walkover.

• Scoring:

  • Round Robin: Rally scoring to 15 (no deuce, no serve to win)
  • Quarter & Semi Finals: Rally scoring to 21 (no deuce, no serve to win)
  • Finals & 3rd Place: Rally scoring to 21 (serve to win, no deuce)

• Officiating:

  • No umpires for early rounds. Players to resolve disputes or call TD.
  • Semi Finals & Finals: Umpire present (calls score, kitchen faults)

• Breaks:

  • Hydration: Allowed between points, 30 seconds max.
  • Timeouts: Only in Finals/3rd Place – 1 timeout (1 min) per team.
  • Injury: 10-minute total limit per team; otherwise, forfeit.

• Other Rules:

  • Loud score calls; confirm with opponent.
  • USAPA rules apply.
  • Ceiling hits = out.
  • Paddles must meet USAPA specs (no inspection unless challenged).
  • Official ball: OXBALLS OX-40

Knockout Round Seeding

Seeding for the knockout stage will be based on several criteria in this order: group position, number of games won, point difference, total points scored, and DUPR rating.

Once the seeds are determined, the draw will be organized to ensure fair balance. The top half of the bracket will include seeds 1, 3, 5, and 7, while the bottom half will include seeds 2, 4, 6, and 8. This ensures no single half of the draw is overly stacked. Additionally, the top two seeds in each half will only face off at the semi-final stage.

If two teams from the same pool are drawn to meet again in the knockout round, a manual adjustment will be made by swapping adjacent seeds to avoid repeat matchups.
